About Us
6 Harold Place has been an Open House in the Saltaire Arts trail since 2007. Over the years we have had a number of artists regularly exhibit in the house, some of whom are back with us again this year. This year's artists include:
DAVID ASHBY, ceramics. David creates unique, handmade kitchenware from jugs and bowls to butterdishes, mugs and vases.
IAN BURDALL, photographer. Ian is drawn to abstractions; to colour, blocks and blocks of colour; lines and shapes.
PAULA DUNN, co-owner of 6HP and painter. Paula uses impasto and palette-knives to build up thick, textural layers of oil paint.
KERRY MOSLEY, textiles. Kerry works with hand knitted wire creating both abstract and figurative wall hangings and framed pieces.
ERIC MOSS, ceramics. Eric works in raku as he likes the way the finished pots reflect their 'elemental' journey from mud to ceramic.PAUL STONE, painter. At the core of Paul's paintings is the search for a precision of focus on the formal properties of mundane everyday objects.
NICK TANKARD, drawings. Nick is strongly influenced by Northern industrial towns and their architecture.
CHIU-I WU, ceramics. Chiu-I's work is hand built with great care for quality.
Previous artists have included: Chris Moss; Fran Jordan; Mark Yates; Myles Linley; Tim Curtis.
