I paint using acrylics and other water based mediums. I enjoy the immediacy that gives me. I try to create dramatic pictures, mostly depicting empty landscapes, roads and streets. The actual location is not of great importance, more the atmosphere that is evoked. A feeling of tension or even foreboding created from the stillness of the land or buildings against the movement of the skies and a strong use of light and shade.
